Stress Management Groups and Clinical Education
Stress management groups or clinical education are available to, hospitals, nursing homes, community agencies. Programs are individually developed to suit organizational and caregiver needs. Programs include:
• Physiological and psychological responses to stress
• Understanding how thinking contribute to stress
• The relationship between emotion and stress
• Learning various ways to manage stress
• Relaxation techniques
Group Grief Work and Grief Education Workshops
Annabelle facilitates grief groups. Groups are offered over an 8 week period. Groups are provided depending upon demand for grief group services. Group work is aimed at
• Facilitating healthy grief through an understanding of how grief affects both the individual and the family.
• Supporting individuals to work with their grief and its psychological, emotional and cognitive effects
• Providing support through the group process
• Maintaining physical and emotional health
• a variety of grief group workshops for stress reduction
Grief education workshops are offered privately to health-care settings, community based agencies and other organizations. Grief education workshops focus on understanding grief theory and our society’s approach to grief, the psychological, emotional and cognitive effects of grief on an individual, the change in family dynamics after a family member dies, the role of ritual and the grief process.
